1.  PRAYER…

The Shamokin C&MA Church will be characterized as a place where prayer is the first work and the engine that drives all we do. Every work of this Body will be initiated, ignited, and bathed in prayer.

2.  ASSIMILATION…

The Shamokin C&MA Church needs to be a place where whoever God brings may come! We desire both the healthy and the hurting. The fulfilled and the frustrated.

The well and the weary. The committed and the curious.

Those burning up for the Lord and those burned out by religion.

We want those who live in Shamokin and the surrounding area to come and find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, encouragement and genuine care in the Person of Jesus Christ and we who authentically represent Him.

3. WORSHIP CELEBRATION…

The Shamokin C&MA Church presently offers A Sunday Worship Celebration Service weekly at 10AM. Our vision is to eventually provide more than One Weekend Worship Service. We want to make the Gospel available as many times that we believe we can present it with excellence and responsible servanthood.

4.  ADULT DISCIPLESHIP/SMALL GROUPS…

A Small Group is made up of individuals who have committed to meeting regularly together. They do this in order to practically build a community where one can be known, so that one may be loved, so that one may be moved closer to the Lord and to one another…

THERE WILL BE THREE STYLES OF SMALL GROUPS TO CHOOSE FROM:

STUDY GROUPS- PATHWAYS- Studies built around the topic being taught…

SERVICE GROUPS- MINISTRY TEAMS- Built around the task being accomplished…

SET CARE GROUPS- Built around the Relationships being developed within community.

5.  EQUIPPINGS/MINISTRY TRAINING…

The Shamokin C&MA Church will encourage its entire congregation to actively express their talents and abilities received from the Lord by becoming involved in ministry both to other believers and non-believers alike. Ministry is not just for a select few but for all who know Jesus. We long to see and encourage all individuals of our Family to use their God given creativity and ability to help accomplish God’s will to be done here in Shamokin and the world!

6.  CHILDREN’S MINISTRY…

The Shamokin C&MA Church will continue to develop a strong and relevant children’s ministry that will provide responsible and biblical age-appropriate opportunities to disciple these little ones to Jesus from an early age…

7.  YOUTH  MINISTRY…

The Shamokin C&MA Church will be known for a strong, vibrant, and aggressive youth ministry that reaches entire families by winning young people to Christ, building them up in their walk with Christ and equipping them to go out and serve Jesus…

​8.  COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The Shamokin C&MA Church desires to be an impact church in Shamokin that continues to turn the light on into the entire community. This means providing regular and excellent outreach vehicles that are done with the express purpose to reach the unbeliever and open the door to gain an audience with the mass of unchurched people in our area…

​9.  MISSIONS

The Shamokin C&MA Church would like to be a launching pad to sending individuals out to serve God full time in vocations both in this country and abroad. We long to provide opportunities for all ages to participate in short term mission ventures in the USA and cross culturally overseas.
